Pine

Pine is a very easy to light firewood. That is great for outdoor use (bonfires, camping, etc.) Pine firewood is not recommended for indoor use as it can easily clog indoor fireplaces. This type of wood is faster burning than most other types. With that in mind it is a great firewood starter that gives off a very pleasant pine aroma.

Red Gum

Red Gum other wise known as Eucalyptus is a slow burning hardwood. Lighting this type of firewood can be a medium to difficult task as it should be used with a softer wood.
